A child will always have that one toy that they cannot get rid of. It could be a robot, a stuffed toy, or a rag doll.
Dogs could also have something that they are very much connected with. For Tessa, the 20-year old pet, it was her banana plush toy.
Tessa believed that age was simply a number. She may be an adult pet dog but, Tessa still acted like a puppy whenever she cuddles her stuffed banana toy.
Tessa found solace in the plush animal. It gave her a total sense of security and tranquility. This is why she could not let go of it.
Tessa always guarded her plush banana against anyone who tries to steal or take it away. The plush toy became her bedtime buddy every night.
It was five years ago since her mom purchased the stuffed banana for her. Tessa fell in love with it the moment she saw it. Until today, it was still her beloved plush buddy.
Whenever Tessa felt the need for comfort, she goes back to cuddling the plush banana. It was evident that Tessa felt comfortable and at home when she hugs the banana toy.
There was one instance when guests came over to their house. They were amazed at the love and connection that Tessa gave to her plush toy.
Even if her mom had bought several other toys, she would not give up her banana plush. For Tessa, it was one toy that was not tradable and simply irreplaceable.
The puppy in Tessa’s nature showed clearly with the love she had for the plush toy. Despite her age, Tessa showed that she was always young at heart with her favorite toy. This simply proved that aging is inevitable, but staying youthful is a choice.
