Finding homeless dogs their forever homes is no easy task. Numerous stray canines are taken off the streets each day and only a handful are getting adopted. Most shelters are getting overcrowded and many of them remedy the situation by performing euthanasia on dogs that they deem unadoptable. This is a very depressing reality.
Thankfully, there are many animal charity organizations now that are doing everything they can so that these helpless animals find a better life. The internet and media news outlet is the fastest way to highlight these stray animals and give them exposure. And the best way to gain people’s attention is by being creative.
Adorable puppies
2nd Chance Rescue is a charity organization in Norco, California, that aims to rescue and rehome dogs. One day, a woman went into their facility carrying a sizeable gray tupperware. Inside were seven of the most lovable puppies that anyone can ever meet.
The woman said that she found the chihuahua puppies and brought them to the rescue group right away. But after inspecting the puppies, who were very clean and quite healthy, the staff believed that the lady tried to take care of them herself but couldn’t handle the demanding work by herself.
Fortunately, puppies are the easiest to find homes. In fact, in just a matter of days, two were adopted. To help the remaining pups get their forever homes, the staff shot two adorable videos featuring them.
Halloween special
As it was near Halloween, they decided to use the holiday as the theme. The first video featured the five pups sitting inside a large plastic pumpkin. They were also seen playing with smaller pumpkins. The short video also told their story.
The second video was more cinematic. The pups seemed to emerge from a pile of dried hay, and in the background were several tombstones. A piece of haunting yet fun music was setting the mood. But of course, it’s the dog’s cuteness that was highlighted in the video.
Hopefully, this creative exposure would get them their family at the soonest possible time.
