The Soto family of Caledonia, Wisconsin celebrated Christmas early when they were reunited with their 10-month-old Boston Terrier named Bruno. One Friday night, the dog, along with the family’s car, went missing outside a holiday sound and light show at Jellystone Park.
The following Monday, an anonymous caller contacted the Sotos to alert them that their beloved Bruno was at Kozi Park on Milwaukee’s south side. Around 2 o’clock the next morning, the family found the dog tied up at the park. They were just glad to finally be able to take him home, despite the state they found him in.
Determined to get Bruno back, Jamie Soto offered a $4,000 reward for the pup’s safe return. Soto claimed that during the show, her son had gone back to their 2014 green Land Rover LR2 to retrieve something and left the keys inside. When they finally went out after the show, they could no longer find the car.
However, it was not just the car that went missing. The dog was inside it, too. Soto said that she did not care what happened to the vehicle. She just cared about bringing their dog home.
The family’s car was recovered from the south side of Milwaukee that Monday, but Bruno was nowhere in sight. Soon, though, they received the phone call that brought them to their dog. Soto said that the pup’s disappearance was painful to them because of his relationship with her son, who suffers from anxiety and frequently sleeps right next to him.
According to Soto, Bruno and her son are best friends. The night the pup went missing, he worried about him all night and could not sleep at all. Thankfully, the two have been reunited, just in time for the holidays. Both are relieved to snuggle up next to each other again. Soto went on to say that they feel blessed to have the dog back.
