It Took Over A Year For These Dogs To Be Rescued From The Desert

It Took Over A Year For These Dogs To Be Rescued From The Desert

Dog rescue missions can be complicated and arduous. Sometimes it would take months or a year before a dog gets rescued. This is because the rescuer has to gain the dog’s full trust before getting them out of its predicament.

A dog rescuer named Esteban received a report about a strange situation in the Southern Californian desert. Several dogs were stranded there, miles away from the nearest city. These dogs were led by a female dog called Persephone, so Esteban had to get her trust first before the other dogs.

If the rescuer was dealing with one dog, it would be easier to complete the rescue mission. Since he was dealing with a pack and was operating alone, he had to take his time. Esteban began visiting the dogs and bringing food every day. This daily routine went on for a while until the dogs became familiar with him and his vehicle.

It took seven months before Persephone allowed Esteban to pet her. Soon after that, another dog called White Knight also became close to the rescuer. Unfortunately, even after Esteban had gotten the trust of seven dogs, something else needed to be done before they could be rescued.

Esteban got desperate, so he contacted another rescuer named Larissa. He asked her to find several people willing to foster the desert dogs. It took some time, but Larissa eventually found the right people, and Esteban could continue the rescue operation.

Since Esteban knew that each dog had a foster parent waiting for them, he had no reservations about capturing all of them. The process went smoothly, and he soon transported seven dogs to their respective foster homes. Persephone was special, so she stayed at Esteban’s home.

The rescue mission was successful, but it was far from over. Esteban found out that five more dogs remained in the desert. There was a second group, separated from Persephone’s group. Esteban’s next mission is the find foster parents for the remaining five dogs before rescuing them.

I have to be honest here, I have not always loved dogs. When I was a child, all I was taught was how dogs can bite people, but not how helpful they can be. After getting my daughter a puppy, Roscoe, I learned how loving and loyal dogs are. My appreciation and love for dogs have grown over the years, and I enjoy sharing feel-good dog stories. I hope you enjoy my blog:)
