It was the Christmas season and one family from Texas decided to travel to Butte, Montana to celebrate the holidays. They wanted to experience a white and snowy Christmas. As it was a family vacation, they of course brought their four-month-old pup.
But instead of having a relaxing time, their trip soon turned into their worst nightmare as their tiny pug accidentally escaped from them. They had just arrived in the area and the tiny pooch was probably confused and excited at the same time.
His exuberance and adventurous side gave his family a dilemma. And it was Christmas Eve at that time. Would their celebration be ruined?
Hoping for a Christmas miracle
The family was naturally devastated. They immediately started searching for the dog. They even reported the matter to the local authorities as they didn’t know anyone from the area that could help them. They were optimistic though that the pug would be found.
The small pup was then walking in a busy street that had tons of people walking around. As it was Christmas and the area had a lot of chain stores there, shoppers were all over. A lot of people saw the stray dog and reported it to the authorities. The local fire department was sent to rescue the pooch.
A chase
When the brave firefighters arrived, the dog was getting more confused about the situation, his fear drove him to go to the road. Thankfully, the car drivers stopped for the dog’s safety.
The rescuers chased him and covered all possible exits. The frightened dog then dashed under a car and sat there shivering. The firefighters then pulled him out safely and without any further incident. They then took him to the Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter where he waited for his owners to get him.
Thanks to the combined efforts and kindness of the community and the assistance of the firefighters, the pug was returned to his owners in just a couple of hours. Their vacation was not ruined after all.
