Dog Rejected By Her Owner Finally Gets Her Forever Home

A dog abandoned in Florida got many adoption offers after her story went viral online. But it was a man from Michigan who filled out the application form first among the many applicants. He soon got to adopt Blue and take her home.

Blue’s story sparked outrage in a lot of people outraged. It also prompted many people from all over the nation to send in offers to adopt her. Emails, phone calls, and social media posts swamped the Humane Society of Midland County’s inboxes. Logan Smith, an animal care technician at the H.S.M.C., reported that the animal was ultimately given to the first applicant who was from Michigan.

A woman from Grand Blanc City, Michigan discovered Blue shivering and cold. She spent time with the animal and she said that was difficult not to bond with the animal. She wanted to adopt Blue, but she already had four dogs. The woman ultimately chose to bring her to the shelter in Midland in order to find her a better home.

Blue became separated from her owner in Lehigh Acres, Florida, but ended up in Midland, Michigan. The shelter discovered the animal’s owner using the microchip implanted in the animal and arranged to drive roughly 1,500 miles to Florida to return the pet. However, the original owner refused to accept her.

The volunteer driver really felt sad for Blue. She described the animal as a playful creature that enjoys giving kisses. She also described the few peculiarities she observed in Blue, such as her curved tail and spastic hind limb. People who read her story were captivated by her charm.

The shelter first refused to disclose the identity of the person who adopted Blue, but changed its mind and soon uploaded a photo of the pair. The animal shelter rejoiced for Blue when she was quickly adopted by a loving family. Blue is currently happy in her new home.

I have to be honest here, I have not always loved dogs. When I was a child, all I was taught was how dogs can bite people, but not how helpful they can be. After getting my daughter a puppy, Roscoe, I learned how loving and loyal dogs are. My appreciation and love for dogs have grown over the years, and I enjoy sharing feel-good dog stories. I hope you enjoy my blog:)
