Stray dogs aren’t often welcome in most homes. However, one stray was lucky enough to meet people welcoming her when she decided to barge in uninvited. This is the story of a lost dog who found shelter in a stranger’s home.
An adorable little Maltese who does not have a name has found herself in the hands of a middle-aged couple. She has made herself feel at home and acts as if she owns the house. This is surprising because she had only stayed there for a few days.
The stray Maltese was clean showed signs of being groomed. Her breasts are also swollen, which indicates that she has recently given birth. All those details indicate that she was previously owned by someone.
The current guardians went on a quest to find the Maltese’s real owner. First, they went to an animal hospital to check for microchips. They found none on her. During the visit, the vet had confirmed that it has been three weeks since she has given birth.
The guardians also went to several veterinary clinics to find out if they assisted a Maltese who gave birth. That, too, proved to be fruitless. The search went on until they found a nearby village where the possible owner might reside.
The guardians asked around the village. At one point, they thought they finally found the owner. However, it turns out that too was a dead end. The day ended with the guardians putting up posters in different locations instead.
Several days passed, and no one contacted the guardians. The Maltese’s origin remained a mystery. At this point, the decision was clear. If no one ever claimed to be the dog owner, then the guardians have to assume the role of permanent owners.
