These days, seeing dog owners dressing up their dogs in fancy costumes is no longer an unusual sight. On every special occasion, various social media platforms would surely be flooded with photos of pets in their fantastic costumes. But while most pet owners dress their beloved pets occasionally, one couple decided to dress up their French Bulldog in various costumes for one whole month!
Instead of just allotting one day to celebrate Halloween, Amy Herrington, and her husband, decided to celebrate it for the whole month of October. And their French Bulldog named Toad was very thrilled with this excellent idea!
The couple adopted Toad during the height of the lockdown in February 2020, and since bringing him home, the couple showered him with all the love they can give. And to do something new and creative during the lockdown, the couple decided to set up an Instagram and TikTok account for Toad. As their dog’s followers continued to grow, they were inspired to celebrate the then-upcoming Halloween in a very big way. They decided that instead of dressing up their dog for just one day, they would instead dress Toad in various costumes for the whole month of October.
Toad’s fancy costumes include a Dwight Shrute attire from the hit comedy show The Office, Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, and Elton John. But Amy’s personal favorite is Toad’s Lafawnduh costume from Napoleon’s Dynamite.
On top of these great costumes, the couple has a lot of creative ideas in the pipeline. They are planning for a Regina George costume, based on the movie Mean Girls and a Frodo one since Amy’s husband is a fan of Lord of the Rings.
Toad’s costumes were so well-received by many netizens that his Instagram page, @goodboy.toad, has garnered 13,000 followers — and is still increasing. With this good news, it showed that a lot of people had appreciated the couple’s effort to make Toad as gorgeous as possible.
Without a doubt, this French Bulldog is one lucky dog!
