A couple named Tyler and Brianna Hagood were on their way to her birthday getaway when they stopped by a fast-food restaurant’s drive-through. And that’s when Brianna noticed a dog wandering in the parking area.
She told her husband, but Tyler said they should continue on their way and leave the dog. However, Brianna insisted on rescuing the dog, especially since it was her birthday.
She got out of their car and walked toward the dog, who approached her while wagging his tail. The two sat beside each other in the parking area, and then Brianna felt that she needed to bring the dog with her.
After getting their food, Tyler parked their car near where his wife and the dog were sitting. Brianna opened the car door, and the dog jumped inside straight away before she could even ask him.
Tyler and Brianna asked around, and everyone claimed that the dog had just wandered up that morning. Nobody knew where the poor dog came from or if he had owners looking for him. Before going to the hotel, the couple went to an animal clinic to scan the dog for a microchip.
The vet didn’t find any microchips. Thus, the couple headed to buy some supplies for him for their weekend on the beach. They had been planning on bringing their new pup with them, so the room they had booked was a dog-friendly one.
As Tyler and Brianna settled into the hotel room, their new friend settled in with them. The dog was well-behaved, seemingly knowing what to do. The wife fell in love more with the dog, and so did Tyler.
The couple enjoyed snuggling with him all night. The following day, the dog joined them in celebrating Brianna’s birthday.
Brianna made a post online, and the dog’s family commented. Thus, the pair drove to their home to drop off the dog. His name turned out to be Blue, and he had escaped from his family’s yard.
Brianna felt heartbroken saying farewell to her new furry friend. But she was glad she had helped reunite the dog with his family.
That week, the dog’s family contacted them again. Things were not working for Blue, and despite how difficult it was, the family asked if the couple would want to adopt him. As they had bonded with him, the couple agreed.
Blue arrived at their house on a Thursday and fit in immediately. Now, he is the best boy and loves staying by Brianna’s side most of the time.
