Two Dogs Who Were Going For A Walk Rescues Drowning Family At The Beach

Because of how smart dogs are, these creatures can do a lot of things humans don’t usually expect them to. There are a lot of stories of doggos saving their owners, or even complete strangers. They always continue to prove that they are always there for anyone who needs help.

Two doggos named Dave and Baxter proved this to be true in an amazing rescue story. One day, a family of three was enjoying a lovely day at Hayling Island Beach. Everything was fine until the waves started to get stronger.

Nicola, who was staying at the shore, saw that her 14-year old daughter, Poppy, and her 19-year old niece, Kiera, were swept away by the strong tides. As she was panicking about what was happening, she jumped into the water to try and rescue her girls.

She was giving all her strength but Nicola just couldn’t save them both. She was crying a lot and just couldn’t believe that she couldn’t help her children. As everything seemed to get worse, somebody came to the beach and saw what was happening to them.

A dogwalker named Guy Jenner was walking along the beach with his son, Tom, and their two dogs Dave and Baxter. Without wasting any time, they sprang into action and immediately went into the waters and tried to rescue the three women.

Dave also jumped in and swam towards Nicola. She was able to grab on to him and the strong pooch puller her safely back to shore. Baxter also started barking out loud and swam towards Keira and Poppy. He then helped to pull Keira back to safety.

The three were all shaken up and were in shock about what had happened. If Guy and Tom and their dogs had taken a different route or had taken their walk at a different time, things could have turned out differently.

Nicola, Keira, and Poppy are so grateful to the man and the doggos who save their lives. They were able to come just in time to rescue them. Because of this, they now consider Dave and Baxter as their new friends for life.

I have to be honest here, I have not always loved dogs. When I was a child, all I was taught was how dogs can bite people, but not how helpful they can be. After getting my daughter a puppy, Roscoe, I learned how loving and loyal dogs are. My appreciation and love for dogs have grown over the years, and I enjoy sharing feel-good dog stories. I hope you enjoy my blog:)
